Silver Cross will host a free program on Restoring Your Vaginal Youth on April 14
New Lenox, IL (March 31, 2016)— For two years, New Lenox resident and internal medicine physician, Dr. Diana Jaime, suffered with increasing vaginal discomfort due to dryness. Simply wearing jeans or driving a car for a while would cause her to experience more symptoms. Dealing with menopause goes beyond hot flashes, it interferes with your activities and family time. For Diana, bike rides and zumba classes were off her to do list. Her discomfort was due to severe vaginal dryness. She tried water-based lubricants and low dose hormonal creams, but found no relief. Unfortunately, she was not a candidate to take oral hormones since this type of medication caused her blood to clot. After trying what she thought were the only options to get relief for menopausal dryness, she figured she would just have to live with it. Then her life dramatically improved after talking with a girlfriend. Her friend suggested she see Dr. Francisco Garcini who could help her find relief through a new non-surgical procedure called vaginal rejuvenation.
“I am so glad that I decided not to suffer in silence anymore and talk with my friend. I’m so thankful for her suggestion, and I am forever grateful to Dr. Garcini for changing my quality of life through the vaginal rejuvenation procedure,” said 52-year-old Dr. Diana Jaime. “Immediately after my first treatment session, the dryness was gone and the increased vaginal moistness soothed my genital area eliminating any discomfort.”
What is Vaginal Rejuvenation?
Vaginal Rejuvenation is a non-surgical procedure that uses a flat probe to deliver controlled thermal energy to the external and internal vaginal tissues. It is performed in three separate treatments over a series of three months with results after the first treatment.
“Vaginal rejuvenation is a procedure involving the tightening of the soft tissues of the vagina and vulva,” said Francisco Garcini, M.D., Ph.D., who is Co-Director of the Center of Excellence for Minimally Invasive Gynecology at Silver Cross Hospital. “My patients have had positive outcomes after each vaginal rejuvenation session. This life-changing procedure can improve some of the effects of child birth, aging, and menopause. For those cases where these effects are present in a more severe fashion, a surgical repair may be indicated.”
Dr. Jaime knows she is not the only woman going through menopause that is experiencing severe vaginal dryness. “I want to share my experience so other women can learn about the vaginal rejuvenation procedure and no longer suffer. I now can wear jeans, ride a bike and enjoy intercourse without any discomfort. This procedure has allowed me to project more self-confidence and live my life to the fullest!”
