About Dr. Hysoo Ka-Widmann
Dr. Hysoo Ka-Widmann was born in Seoul, South Korea and spent part of her childhood in Paraguay before moving to New York City in 1984. Moving across the globe has allowed her to become fluent in Korean, Spanish, and English. She attended Rensselaer Polytechinc Institute for undergraduate studies and Mount Sinai School of Medicine (now Icahn School of Medicine), graduating in 1995. She completed her residency at University of Texas Houston/LBJ Hospital in 1999 and also served as the administrative chief. After two years of private practice in Sugarland, Texas, she moved to New Lenox, IL where she started (?) Partners in Obstetrics and Women’s Health. Dr. Ka appreciates the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology for allowing her the unique opportunity to care for women through all stages of life. She is particularly passionate about preventative health care, and her area of expertise is in-office procedures. Dr. Ka is an avid traveler, a recreational hiker, and a breast cancer survivor. She believes her experience as a cancer patient allowed her to grow in her role as a physician and address the specific needs of everyone she cares for. She is the proud mother of three young adults and two rescue dogs.
