About Gamilah N. Pierre
Gamilah N. Pierre, MD, MBA, FACOG is a graduate of New York University and Temple University School of Medicine. Dr. Pierre completed her residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. She then relocated to Illinois and joined the staff of Silver Cross Hospital in 2002.
Her professional interests include treatment of menstrual irregularities, fibroids and polyps and caring for low and high risk obstetrical patients. She is a member of several professional societies including American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) and the Midwest Institute for Robotic Surgery (MIRS).
Dr. Pierre enjoys leading community lectures. She sits on the Board of Directors of Girls Inc Chicago, an organization whose mission is to inspire girls to be strong, smart, and bold. Through her Board Seat on The Joseph Assignment Global Initiative, she has been able to use her medical training on mission trips to West Africa. Her hobbies include travel and creating custom greeting cards.
